Joshua Leinsdorf
Josh was born in New Rochelle, New York. He attended
public schools in Larchmont and Rochester, New York, graduating from Brookline
High School in Brookline, Massachusetts. At graduation, Josh was awarded
a Certificate of Merit from The Mathematics Club of the University of
Massachusetts in its Annual High School Prize Examination. He then attended Columbia
College in New York City as a Physics Major. Josh is not a lawyer.
Leinsdorf has been together
with his wife, Mary Katherine Blohm, for 51 years. They have one adult child.
Josh has spent most of his working life first in government in New York's
Economic Development Administration Department of Ports and Terminals, and then
in education. He has also worked in publishing, for a copper company, for an
election lawyer, in a press office, and for Suburban Bus.
Josh was elected to Community School Board #3 in Manhattan in
1970 and the Princeton Regional School Board in 2000. Josh served nine years on
the board’s Finance Committee, two years as Chairman.
A lifelong independent, Josh has been working on independent
campaigns since 1969. He and his wife were Independent presidential electors in
1976. He has seen and experienced every crooked shenanigan the two-party system
has to offer. Josh was a poll worker for 25 years.
